Exchange Place provides an ideal setting for an outdoor history lesson. By stepping back in time to 1851, students get the flavor of the nineteenth century by living it, touching it, and smelling it.

By visiting Exchange Place at Eden’s Ridge, one sees how Mr. Preston, his family, and servants lived in 1850; what their chores were; what animals they had; how they met the challenges of food, shelter, and clothing; what they did for entertainment, music, and how they were self-sufficient.
